HOW TO GET 7 FASHION FORWARD LOOKS THIS SEASON ON A BUDGET

Hello My Friends & Fashionistas.

Well, it seems that Fall is already in full swing and by now, most of the leaves have fallen off the trees. So sad!! Those colors were so picturesque and every photo on instagram was lit up by the beautiful vibrant shades of gold, brown and red. Since the autumn colors have almost vanished and winter is around the corner, at least from my neck of the woods, this doesn't mean your wardrobe should take a backseat in the color department.  It's the perfect time to embrace those gorgeous hues of the fall foliage and implement them into YOUR new winter wardrobe.

COLOURS - Trending colors this season are ones that mimic the autumn shades, such as caramels, golds, burgundies and greens.  Jewel tones are also super hot this season with red, royal blue, emerald green and sapphire. Don't be afraid to adopt any of these shades into your wardrobe, as they will be sure to take dramatize your look to a whole new level. So now that we know the colors that are trending, how does that translate into our winter style? Well, I will be reviewing MY 5 FAVOURITE PICKS FOR THIS SEASON TO SIMPLIFY YOUR STYLING.

1. FAUX FUR / ECO LEATHER - This season, we have been seeing over and over in all fashion magazines and window displays the influence of faux furs and eco-leather. For those of you who are animal activists this may be the best alternative, not to mention their desirable price tag. This is super popular in Europe as people seem to be more eco-friendly and practice living green in every aspect of their lives, in comparison to their Amerian counterparts. Designers are creating unique fabrics that are mainly synthetic with ultra soft textures. Not only do they mimic the suede look but they are  extremely durable, rather than real leather and suede. Mini micro suede skirts (coming soon - FLAIR collection) , paired with knee high boots are the sought after look this season. This is a great option for those that want to achieve the fashion forward look but don't want to break the bank. Items like faux fur vests, coats and fur trimmed products are amongst a few of other popular items we are seeing this season. Eco-leather leggings and pencil skirts, which I will soon be carrying at my online store (FLAIR), are still showing their face from last year.

2. KNEE HIGH SUEDE /MICROSUEDE BOOTS - The "ever so popular" knee high suede boots or microsuede alternatives are a huge ticket item amongst all celebrities and fashion bloggers this season. These boots can range anywhere from $30 on Amazon to over $200 from Sam Edelman. I bought two pairs for less than $90 and it's my favourite go to piece that can be added to many different outfits to create numerous looks. So you see ladies,  anyone can achieve these new trends on a limited budget.

3. VELVETS AND SCRUNCHED VELVET - They are popping their heads back from their previous appearance back in the 90's. Yes, can you believe it?? Without aging myself too much, I remember wearing velvet leggings and bodysuits and rocking it back then. lol  I am not too sure myself if I want to relive this trend, however I did invest in a pair of pink scrunched velvet mules from Winners for $30 for the fall and it was quite the accessory to my simple outfits. Velvet can be easily introduced this winter with party dresses or simple tunics over tall boots and leggings. Check out Shein.com for many styles all under $25.

4. DISTRESSED JEANS - We loved them all spring and summer, so how awesome is it so see them stick around for the Fall and Winter months.  If you don't already have a pair that you love, then they can easily be added to your wardrobe.  Old Navy is having a HUGE SALE for $20 or less. Get your pair today and through my blog, you can see the many different ways to wear these jeans and create different looks.

5. COMFY AND COZY SWEATER - Well this is one piece that I cannot live without this season! Having four kids and always being on the run, from school bus stops and extra curricular activities to domestic duties like cooking, laundry and making those ever so dreadful lunches. Argh!! Lately, sweaters and jeans are my GO-TO outfit that is not only very comfortable and cozy but super practical and warm. I love them so much in fact, I brought in a whole new collection of sweaters being launched on my NEW online fashion store (FLAIR) coming soon. Stay tuned.

So, there you have it!!  The trending COLORS and MY  TOP FAVOURITE 5 PICKS FOR THIS FALL & WINTER. You will catch me often this upcoming season sporting my knee high boots, my one of many distressed jeans, one of MY cozy sweaters and possibly a faux fur vest or fur trimmed coat. It's MY FLAIR this season and I hope I can help you make it YOURS.

Enjoy what's left of the fall and embrace the winter with these hot new trending tips.

Fashionably Yours,
LianeMarie
