KEEPING IT SIMPLE, YET FASHIONABLE ON YOUR NEXT WEEKEND GETAWAY!

Hello Friends & Fashionistas.

Today's blog is about a milestone worth celebrating..... 15 years with my life partner, the father of my four children.  Although we may have accomplished so much together, we definately have had our share of hurdles along the way. However through it all, we made it to this point with the utmost respect and appreciation for one another. So what better way to celebrate our love, than doing something we both truly enjoy... a motorcycle trip. Trust me, it wasn't easy leaving the nest full of little chickies, let alone ride on the back of a two-wheeler. However, the enjoyment is far too great to give up and the weather was record-breaking for Fall this time of the year.

We simply love the feeling of discovering new places and experiencing things from a different perspective. For me, being apart of the elements, feeling the warm winds blowing in my face, cuddling close to my partner, listening to a never ending playlist covering every genre, being lost in my own thoughts, discovering life's natural beauties along the way...... all from a passengers point of view.  It's not at all the destination , rather the journey. We didn't have a plan set in place. We simply followed our heart's desire and enjoyed one mile at a time. We relied on our senses to guide us and make decisions and yet, there were always the right ones. Sometimes, we all need to stop running the RAT RACE, and live a little more. Follow your internal clock and toss your lists away. We need to say YES MORE and ANALYZE LESS. This isn't easy for A-TYPE personality like myself, but I am living proof, that we all can change, adapt, learn new things and strive to be something else, if we choose. Here are the backseat views of the places we've travelled.

The only part of the trip that was challenging for me believe it or not, was my luggage allowance. lol
I was given a very small handbag for four days and I learned very quickly to pack efficiently.  Since heels, dresses and accessories were out of the question, I kept it simple and basic. You can never go wrong with distressed jeans and tees right? However, I did add my own flair where I could.  After all, half the battle is looking the part, the rest just falls into place.  Here is what I packed for my 4 day bike trip (missing a few items purchased along the way).
